Mulch on wheels

At Nazareth Pallet, we believe in fundamentals such as quality products, reliable service and giving back to the community. Just as importantly, we believe in fun. Because of these two tenets, our employees are motivated, energetic and passionate and our community is proud to have us in their backyard.

Speaking of fun, what could be more fun than cars, trucks and other things on wheels? From our perspective, not much. That’s why we’re excited to have had the opportunity to recently support America On Wheels, a terrific Lehigh Valley transportation museum in Allentown, PA.

Our pallet mulch is museum-worthy

Ok, we may be exaggerating a bit here, but you can find our pallet mulch at America On Wheels. In fact, we donated a total of 15 yards of our pallet mulch for the Children’s Learning Garden at America on Wheels.

To see some of the results from our donation, go to the bottom of this link.

Among its areas of focus, America On Wheels has an emphasis on educating kids; for example, the Magic Seat Belt Tour is geared toward kids in kindergarten to third grade and involves a magical trip through the history of automobiles.

Other tours touch on topics such as how engines work, and a scavenger hunt provides kids with a hands-on aspect to much of their learning.

The Children’s Learning Garden (also home to our pallet mulch) on the waterfront is another way for kids to get a hands-on experience.

The Children’s Learning Garden

The Children’s Learning Garden does a lot! For example, children can learn about the effect of changing seasons on the environment and assess why soil is important in agricultural systems.

Museum officials are eager to spread their love of nature, so they also use the garden to urge children to keep garden journals at home (adults can keep them, too!). Future plans include teaching about insect life cycles and flower blooming cycles.

The garden is meant to be an oasis of calm that lets children learn about nature and enjoy it.

We recommend you make a trip to check out the museum. It showcases more than 75 vehicles such as cars, trucks, bikes, scooters and of course, our pallet mulch! Exhibits change every six months, so you have a great excuse to return to the 1950s HubCap cafe. The museum is a great place, and we’re proud to support its efforts.

Other Organizations We Support

Other organizations that we support include United Way, the Boys and Girls Club of Easton, the East Allentown Volunteer Fire Department and the Northampton Recreation Center. We help sponsor events such as the Northampton Halloween Parade and MusikFest because, hey, FUN! We also sponsor the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

We do this in part because our community has helped make us, and we want to give back. We also know that it is all too easy to get lost in daily routines.

By giving back, our employees get to experience a little bit of magic every day as they see how they make the world better a little bit at a time.
